We will be using copper foiling technique, and possibly making a zinc frame for each creation. Project size is maximum A4 size.

Course Objectives:

  • Mastering the Language of Color: Dive deep into the psychology of color and its emotional impact. Learn how to select and blend hues to evoke specific moods, atmospheres, and narrative elements in your stained glass creations.
  • Narrative Blueprinting: Discover the art of crafting a compelling narrative. Explore techniques for structuring stories, developing characters, and building scenes within the constraints of the stained glass medium.
  • Translating Images into Glass: Develop the skills to transform images, scenes, and concepts into stunning stained glass compositions. Learn the process of pattern creation, glass selection, and cutting techniques to bring your visions to life.
  • Balancing Form and Function: Understand how to harmonize artistic expression with practical considerations. Learn to design pieces that not only tell a story but also function as beautiful works of art, considering factors such as light distribution, structural integrity, and installation.
  • Techniques in Glasswork: Hone your skills in the traditional methods of leading, foiling, and soldering.
  • Personalized Projects: Customize your learning experience by selecting and developing a project that resonates with your unique storytelling vision. Receive individualized guidance and support from our experienced instructors.
