Romina Gonzales |

This intensive workshop will be a comprehensive introduction to working with hot glass. We will cover all basic aspects of glassblowing and solid sculpting with an accent on hot assembly of components to create larger and more complex pieces from different parts. The first two days will revolve around demonstrations and group exercises to get to know and understand different techniques and material possibilities, covering traditional and experimental approaches. Emphasis will be on the use of collective help and teamwork to accomplish ideas as well as structured repetition to develop and strengthen individual skills. The last 3 days will be allotted to working on students' individual projects with the assistance of the instructors and their respective teams.
