Designing with Glass
IntensiveIntensive | 5 Sessions: January 21 — January 25
Tuesday, 6:00 pm - 10:00 pm
Learn how to use the copper foil stained glass method to create contemporary and illusionistic imagery. Class will begin with a discussion on embracing the parameters of the medium, followed by a design process that focuses on utilizing the color, texture, and opacity levels of glass. Students may draw out their glass pattern on paper or design it in Adobe Illustrator with basic instruction. A design critique and problem solving session will follow before students are guided through the rest of the process, including cutting glass, grinding, copper foiling, soldering, and applying patina.
Students will not be provided laptops. Open to all experience levels.Continue Reading
