Lino Tagliapietra to receive award at Art Palm Beach

Art Palm Beach, which runs from January 24th through the 28th at the Palm Beach Convention Center in West Palm Beach, Florida, will present Lino Tagliapietra with its Visionary Award during a ceremony on Friday, January 25th. The award presentation will be followed by a public presentation and interview with Scott Indrisek, senior executive editor of Modern Painters magazine.

Other glass-related events during the four-day event include a lecture by artist Marlene Rose entitled “Rough Glass: My Adventures in the Sand,” and a panel discussion on the future of glass art led by Habatat Gallery‘s Ferd Hampson and featuring artists Steve Linn and Charles Miner entitled “The Next 50 Years: The Future of Studio Glass.”

Among the exhibiting galleries featuring glass art are: Berengo Studio 1989 of Venice; Echt Gallery of Chicago; Habatat Galleries of Michigan, of Royal Oak, Michigan; Jane Sauer Gallery of Santa Fe; Ken Saunders Gallery, Ltd. in Chicago; Schantz Galleries, of Stockbridge, Massachusetts; and Thomas R. Riley Galleries of Cleveland, Ohio.
