Get fired up at the Chrysler Museum Glass Studio. The state-of-the-art facility brings the Museum’s renowned glass collection to life with free demonstrations, classes, special artist lectures, collaborations with educational organizations, a Studio Assistantship program, and more. Take a class for beginners and leave with handmade keepsakes or enroll in advanced classes to hone your craft. Enhanced safety protocols, including the use of compressed air for glassblowing, help keep everyone safe. 

Don't miss Glass After Dark, a new monthly program that brings hot glass and live music together for memorable evenings. Also, mark your calendar for the inaugural presentation of The Vitreous Theater on February 11, and watch as dance, drama, music, and sculpture meld with glass in unsuspecting ways. 

The Chrysler Museum Glass Studio is open Tuesday–Saturday, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, noon to 5 p.m. Free demos at noon. Admission is free. For more information, visit

UrbanGlass is a comprehensive public-access studio with an extensive education program. Areas of study include hot glass casting and glassblowing, flame-working, bead-making, stained glass, kilnforming and kiln casting, and cold working and mosaics. Classes and private lessons are available to the public throughout the year and offer opportunities for beginners and advanced artists alike. Our state-of-the-art studios are also available for rent, making it easy for students and professionals to continue creating with glass.
