OPENING: Preview exhibition for UrbanGlass fund-raising auction debuts in New York City

Kicking off with an opening reception this evening, Thursday, March 24th, from 6 to 8 PM, a special two-week preview exhibition in Manhattan will showcase the glass artworks that will be going up for auction during the annual UrbanGlass fundraiser Fête de Verre:FUTUR taking place on April 16th. The exhibition “Fête Auction Preview” opens at the gallery space Chashama at 217 E. 42nd Street (between 2nd and 3rd avenues).

The selected work in this exhibition was juried by Jane Adlin, associate curator at the Metropolitan Museum of Art; Katya Heller of Heller Gallery; David McFadden, chief curator and vice president of the Museum of Arts & Design; and Claire Oliver of Claire Oliver Gallery. After the opening, the “Fête Auction Preview” will remain on view at the Chashama Gallery through Saturday, April 9th. All of the artwork will be available for viewing and immediate “But It Now” bidding online before it goes up for live auction during UrbanGlass’ premier fundraiser. The UrbanGlass’ Fête de Verre: FUTUR auction and benefit dinner will take place on April 16th at Capitale. Tickets for the fund raiser range in price from $350-$1,000.
