A few places remain for last-minute reservations to attend the 2009 North Lands Creative Glass conference. This event, which invites leading figures in the wider world of contemporary art to exchange ideas with artists working with glass, will take place September 5th and 6th at this unique glass center located on the windswept northeastern coast of Scotland. North Lands is located in Lybster, a village on the east coast of Caithness.

This year’s conference will feature presentations by Clare Johnston, head of the textiles department at the Royal College of Art; Elizabeth Conran, art historian and museum curator; and Ann Vanlatum, the artistic director of Sars-Poteries in Northern France. Also look for 2009 North Lands master class instructors Therman Statom, Dana ZámecnÍková, Mieke Groot, Kaffe Fasset, Steve Klein, and Udo Zembok to offer presentations.
