Kinetic Glass Mobiles: Intro to Borosilicate

August 11th - August 12th
Ashley Goodwyn |

Let's make glass mobiles!  In this two day adventure, students will learn how to manipulate glass for components on a mobile. Students will begin by learning how to bend and manipulate glass at the torch into different small components. We will consider the weight, color, and shape of our glass, whether our pieces are realistic or abstract. On the second day, students will suspend their glass, testing the balance and design. Components will be arranged, adjusted, suspended and displayed!
