YOUTH CAMP! Glass Rebel: Intro to Glassblowing

July 30th - August 3rd
Joshua Raiffe |

Designed for young students, this introductory glassblowing class focuses on experimenting with molten glass in the hot shop. Before we begin inventing with glass, we will build a basic foundation of skills to work with. Once students have acquired these basic skills they will begin to deconstruct traditional methods of manipulating glass and explore the material through their raw and unfiltered lens. We will embrace unique objects, unusual methods, and steer clear of conformity in our designs. There is genius in young minds and hands that are not yet inundated with formalities and expectations, and we will harness that for our unexpected creations! Open to ages 11-18.
