Youth Camp! Bubble Up: Intro to Glassblowing

August 3rd - August 7th
Joshua Raiffe |

Often times our artistic visions are loftier than our ability to produce them. This is especially true with a difficult process like glassblowing. By breaking down large complex sculptures into simpler, more manageable parts and assembling them cold, artists are able to fulfill their vision without having to compromise because of their skill level. In this week-long camp students will use this strategy to design and execute one large, ambitious sculpture. Students will begin by working in teams as they help each other blow or sculpt parts in the glassblowing studio. The class will then move on to the coldworking studio where students will cut, grind, and assemble their unique constructions. Ages 11-18.

Pair any two week-long workshops for a multi-studio experience at a discounted rate of $1700! Sign up before March 1st and receive an additional 20% discount with the code CAMP.
