WTF are NFTs?

July 13th - July 20th
Robert Panepinto |

If you’ve been hearing a lot about NFTs in the news lately, but have no idea what they are or how they could relate to your artistic practice, this is the course for you! The first half of the class will dive deep into the rabbit hole of NFTs. We will cover platforms, currencies, mediums, trends, and history of what’s been going on in the Metaverse and crypto world. The second session will dive deeper, guiding those who need help getting started in setting up their “wallets” and possibly dropping their first NFT art pieces on the block-chain. This course will not provide personalized financial advice, but rather an intro into a new realm of digital art.

Additional Info:
While not required for participation in the class, if anyone is interested in “minting” their first NFT, two main NFT platforms will be introduced. The first has a one-time starting fee of $100-200, and the second has a suggested $25-50 fee. Other resources will also be discussed for anyone who wants to “mint” their first NFT at low cost. The class price does not include the cost associated with using these platforms. Computer access is needed (smartphones may be used, but will have limitations).

This is a virtual class taking place online via Zoom. A Zoom link will be emailed to you upon registration with further instructions for accessing the class.
