Welcome Spring: Glass Fusing for All Ages (FREE)ヾ(@⌒ー⌒@)ノ

May 2nd, 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Learn the basics of glass fusing in a spring themed workshop led by our high school interns from the Bloomberg Arts Internship: Amy & Janice! There will be demonstrations on glass cutting and placement. Participants will be able to choose from a variety of base shapes (squares, circles, triangles, wings/petals) and get creative with making spring themed coasters, tiles, suncatchers, etc. of their own design.

There are 25 spots available. Registration is first come first serve, so sign up and invite your friends!

We are offering sliding scale pricing for this event; self select the price tier that works best for you!

What to Expect: Students will work with colorful room-temp glass in different forms, like sheets, crushed granules and thin strands. Everyone will be able to make one design.

Fusing involves a mix of seated and standing activities. Handling glass and tools may require a certain level of dexterity. To learn more about accessibility please visit the Accessibility page on our website.

Eligibility: Open to all ages! Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult chaperone. No previous experience required.

Pick-Up: The glass needs to be fired in the kiln overnight, so students will have to return to UrbanGlass once notified to pick up their work. Please allow up to 1 week.
