Wax Working for Kiln Casting

November 14th - December 19th
Kellie Krouse |

This six week course will cover the many steps required for kiln casting, with a focus on wax working. Beginning with a simple open face mold to become familiar with the mold making materials, we will work our way to creating simple rubber molds for waxes. Then, utilizing our base of waxes we will manipulate and combine from this library of objects. Mold making knowledge is helpful but not required. All levels welcome! We will encourage experimentation and play so come prepared to learn and have fun!
