Using Beads in Art, Painting, & Fashion

Join us to discover fun and accessible methods for representing your own creativity and imagination through fashion! This class is perfect for beginner and intermediate bead makers and fashion lovers interested in learning about the intersection of fashion and glass beads through flameworking and other simple techniques. Students will learn basic flameworking skills at the table torch to create unique glass beads for jewelry and other fabulous fashion accessories. Various beading techniques will be covered, including embroidery and hand sewing with fabric, fur, and leather of a quality that can be used in jewelry application, and everyday accessories such as scarves, headbands, and masks. 

This is a hybrid class beginning via Zoom and then moving to in-person at UrbanGlass. A Zoom link will be emailed to you upon registration with further instructions for accessing the class, along with health and safety guidelines for the in-person portion. 

This class meets virtually on Saturday, July 10th 1:00 -3:00 pm, and In-person on Saturday, July 17 & July 24 1:00 -3:00 pm.
