Product Photography and Lighting: Shiny and Reflective

April 4th - April 5th
Blaine Davis |

Photographing your work can often be the missing link between making inspiring objects and actually showing them to anyone. Of course, it would be nice to have someone do it for you, but if you can coherently document your own work it opens up an easy channel from being productive in the studio to sharing your work digitally. In two days, class will experiment with different approaches to lighting, camera setup, and set design with a focus on shiny and reflective objects. Students should bring objects to class for photographing, and whatever camera equipment they have on hand. No experience required.
