Painting, Penning, and Atomizing on Stained Glass

May 2nd - May 23rd
Joseph Cavalieri |

The workshop will cover techniques including painting, pen-and-ink drawing, and air-brushing (using an atomizer) with enamels. Students will use premixed enamel paints which are added to the surface of glass, then fired in a kiln. Students don’t have to be professional painters, they can bring in existing images and trace them on glass. This workshop is an excellent introduction for students who have already taken stained glass courses, and want to add imagery to their work. Many samples will be made overlapping and mixing all of these techniques. Final samples can be used in student’s projects outside of the class. Open to all skill levels.
