Olivia Booth: Drawing Out Time

November 13th, 12:00 am – 11:59 pm

Opening reception Wednesday, November 13th, 6-8pm.

Curated by Alexis Wilkinson.

Olivia Booth: Drawing Out Time showcases a new body of work by the Los Angeles-based artist. The works included range from sculptures made of reflective materials in slumped or melted states, invented ritualistic devices, subtle architectural interventions, and in-situ drawings depicting an inventory of real and imagined forms the artist has accumulated over the years. Through this grouping of playful objects, unexpected forms, and spectral markings, Drawing Out Time unsettles the use-value of our everyday devices, mines the absorptive qualities of reflective materials, engages embodied forms of knowledge, and makes visible a nuanced relationship to time.
