Next Steps: Stuff Cups

November 19th - November 20th
Leo Tecosky |

The “cup” shape is much more than the container we think it is. It is also one of the building blocks for many color processes. Spend a weekend brushing up on stuffed cups, incalmo technique, and supios. Over two days we will look at color overlays and color efficiency, how to use the garage, and how to stack, stuff, and split cups. Previous glassblowing experience required.

Next Step classes are intended for students with previous experience looking to expand their skills in the glassblowing studio. You should have 1-2 years of experience, and feel comfortable gathering and moving through the steps of making a basic cup. Don’t feel ready yet? Check out our more introductory classes to build your skills.
