Next Steps: Color Cups

May 30th - May 31st
Leo Tecosky |

The “cup” shape is much more than the container we think it is. It is also one of the building blocks for many color processes. Spend a weekend brushing up on stuffed cups, incalmo technique, and supios. Over two days we will look at color overlays and color efficiency, how to use the garage, and how to stack, stuff, and split cups. Previous glassblowing experience required.

This class is offered as part of the Next Steps series, a group of weekend hot shop classes designed to focus and expand students’ skills. Take multiple Next Steps weekends to gain access to student hours. Contact kelliek@urbanglass.org for more information.
