Mold Making for All Ages

October 20th - October 21st
Kellie Krouse |

This introduction to Kiln Casting weekend will focus on one of the most exciting parts of kiln casting - capturing the unique qualities of an object in glass. Throughout this weekend we will cover the basics for creating molds to load into a kiln resulting in a glass object. We will emphasize experimentation and play - plan to bring fun textures into the studio to capture. These objects can range from fabric to gummy worms! We will also explore the use of a clay positive to execute a final glass object. Come with an open mind and a sense of experimentation!
