Lost Wax Kiln Casting: Weekend Workshop

June 22nd - June 23rd
Elizabeth Cote |

As an addendum to Wax Working For Sculptors, this weekend workshop will cover the how-to’s of casting glass from wax positives. Students will learn the uses and methods to both hand build and pour refractory for kiln cast molds. We will cover spruing and venting as well as a variety of ways to set up your castings for success. This workshop is designed to work with students who have already created waxes in the Wax Working For Sculptors weekend workshop, or students who have had some previous experience with wax working in the past and are ready to bring in waxes already prepared for class.
