Learn to use the material properties of borosilicate glass to create large scale sculptures and objects. Starting from a plan or drawing, components will be made and then formed together using annealing and kiln-manipulation techniques. Students will gain confidence in constructing complex forms and intricate shapes. This class is aimed at flameworkers with prior experience at the torch, who wish to gain a better understanding of how to join, move and create form in glass.
