Introduction to Adobe Illustrator for Neon Patterns

March 31st - April 14th
Stephanie Sara Lifshutz |

Making patterns digitally is a helpful tool to speed up our process, make changes and adjustments efficiently, and also view multiple design options before physically starting a piece. Get introduced to the basic tools of Adobe Illustrator and the many ways they can be utilized to assist you in making 2D digital mock ups of your designs before fabrication. Although the exercises will be focused for neon patterns, these same skills can be applied for other two-dimensional planning. Ultimately we will learn how to take our digital design and turn it into a printable pattern to work from in the studio.

As this course is introductory there is no need for previous Illustrator experience, but you must download the program in advance. Here is a link for a 7-day free trial: https://www.adobe.com/products/illustrator/free-trial-download.html#

If this price is prohibitive, please reach out to kelliek@urbanglass.org to talk through additional options.
