Intro to Stained Glass for High School Students

April 12th - May 17th
Kelsie McNair |

Stained Glass is super cool! Learn how to make really awesome stuff to keep for yourself or as a gift to your friends. We will be hanging out on Fridays learning the entire process of stained glass from start to finish. Students will learn how to draw designs, select color palettes, cut sheet glass, sand with grinders, and solder the pieces together. You can make a big panel to put on your window, or a few smaller things to decorate your room. Come to class excited to learn this extremely old art and make it new!

What to expect: Short demos will be followed by one-on-one guidance in finishing your piece. Read more about how to prepare for class on our Registration Info page.

Eligibility: No experience necessary. Open to high school aged students.

Sliding-scale Pricing: We offer sliding-scale pricing options for youth classes in an effort to provide greater access to glass education for our growing community of young artists. Please self-select the pricing tier most appropriate for your financial situation. Families who are able to should select the higher tuition so that we can continue to offer our programs with ample staffing of expert teaching artists, and top quality glassmaking tools and materials in our state of the art studios.
