Intro to Soft Glass- Critters and Creations!
April 29th, 11:00 am – 5:00 pmRichard Paz |
Explore the fauna of the world in this fun introductory class! Working in the flameworking studio, we will use colorful rods of glass at the torch to create glass beads and small sculptures inspired by animals. Choose from a wide array of colors, and learn techniques to add different levels of detail and texture to your tiny creatures.
What to Expect: Beadmaking requires a little practice at heat control with the torch to create successful beads. After demonstrations, expect to make between 2 - 6 successful objects in this class, and a couple failures, while gaining confidence and skill in the studio. Read more about how to prepare for class on our Registration Info page.
Eligibility: No previous experience required. Open to ages 12 and up.
Pick-up: The glass needs to cool down overnight, so the students will have to return to UrbanGlass once notified to pick up their work.
