Inner & Outer Space: Sculpting Hot Glass

This workshop will focus on both solid and blown glass sculpting. Students will learn a full range of unique approaches and shaping techniques, including Martin’s specific approach of sculpting from within the bubble. Working without limitations, you will explore process, possibilities, and the limitless potential of the material. You will learn bit work, how to use various torches and the garage, and how to use a unique set of tools made for working from the inside out.

Martin Janecky

Martin began working with glass at the age of 13 at his father's factory in the Czech Republic. His secondary school training concentrated on the creation of glass art in Novy Bor and introduced him to artists and designers from around the world that hired him to execute their ideas.
