Hot Glass Color Experiments

October 12th - October 13th
Joshua Raiffe |

Designed for students of all ages, this introductory weekend glassblowing class focuses on experimental processes and using glass color in the hotshop. Class will start with basic hotshop skills, which students can use as a jumping off point to begin experimenting and developing new and innovative color applications. Students will be encouraged to deconstruct traditional methods of applying glass color and express themselves with entirely unique processes developed in class. There are many traditional ways to apply color, which can lead to a conformity of styles and patterns. With fresh eyes, this class aims to unlock new potential by letting go of tradition and allowing natural creativity to arise.
