Hot Glass Boot Camp

This class will consist of a rigorous training schedule to develop muscle memory and learn or improve skills in the hot shop. Our focus will revolve around perfecting technique through the repetition of exercises and drills. We will concentrate on the necessary steps to make a basic vessel in a self sufficient manner. Students will leave with a comprehensive understanding of glassblowing as well as the confidence, ability and knowledge to make simple blown shapes on their own.

Romina Gonzales

Romina Gonzales (b. 1989, Lima, Peru) is an interdisciplinary artist living and working in Brooklyn, New York. She earned her B.FA. from New York University in 2013 after previously attending Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. Her work exists between the gaps of sculpture, video, installation, writing and performance, addressing issues of social construction, identity, politics and human emotion through gestures that combine tangible and intangible materials.
