Got too many glass shorties? Put them to work!

July 8th, 11:00 am – 5:00 pm
Maria Aroche |

This class will focus on using up the “shortie” ends of the glass rods to make beads. Expect to learn techniques that you can incorporate into your glass bead designs using lots of color.

In addition, we will be using tools to give texture to your new upcycled glass beads. Students are invited to bring aluminum or stainless steel items with texture to incorporate into their pieces.

What to Expect: Beadmaking requires a little practice at heat control with the torch to create successful beads. After demonstrations, expect to make between 2 - 6 successful objects in this class, and a couple failures, while gaining confidence and skill in the studio. Read more about how to prepare for class on our Registration Info page.

Eligibility: No previous experience required. Open to ages 12 and up.

Pick-up: The glass needs to cool down overnight, so the students will have to return to UrbanGlass once notified to pick up their work.

This is an in-person class taking place on-site at UrbanGlass. Health and safety guidelines will be emailed to you upon registration.
