Glass For Your Class: Glass in the K-12 Classroom

June 11th - June 15th
Marta Cabral |

This introductory course is designed for K-12 teachers wishing to discover glass as a material and to learn ways of bringing it to their classrooms. Through different explorations with glass (based on fusing, kiln forming, hot popping, painting, sandblasting, and copperfoiling), participants will learn and discuss ways of bringing this material to their classrooms. Special attention will be given to using classroom-compatible techniques and materials. Participants will work on hands-on explorations of materials and be provided with additional resources for future use.
