Glass and Poetry

June 15th - June 19th
Simone Kearney, Suzanne Peck |

This class will combine glassblowing and poetry writing, introducing students to the ways in which glass and text might reflect, inflect, distort, blur, blend, confuse, and “blow” into one another. Students will see how writing might generate glass forms, and how glass forms in turn, might generate writing. Class will think about how both glass and text might equally display properties of transparency or opacity, solidity or liquidity, explicitness or obscurity, rigidity or deviancy. Students of all disciplines and backgrounds welcome! Open to all skill levels.
