May 8th, 7:00 pm – 9:00 pm
Dorie Guthrie |

Come one, come all, and join me in a FREE night of lecture + demo in the UrbanGlass studio covering the kilnforming technique of Pâte de verre. Pâte de verre is created by firing fine glass grains, usually mixed with a binding agent, against the surface of a mold. It is a literal translation from the French: “paste of glass.”  We will look through a brief history of the ancient technique coupled with visuals, and demo to follow.
