Colorful Catch-All: Stained Glass Weekend

February 15th - February 16th
Kelsie McNair |

In this weekend workshop, students will explore color and form through the creation of a glass sculpture that holds objects. Our process uses the Tiffany stained glass method. Each pupil will learn basic glass cutting, coldworking with grinders, copper foiling, soldering, and finally the assemblage of said sculpture. In addition, we will cover some stained glass history, along with a bit of color theory. The goal of this class is to connect students to a new way of thinking about glass sculpture by creating functional objects.

The class is open to beginners or intermediate students who are interested in 3D stained glass.
