Bored with simply making pieces sit flat or polishing rims? Do you want to explore the cold shop to achieve finished works that go beyond the usual? You have ideas, but are not quite sure what piece of equipment to use to achieve them? Working on individual projects, students will learn how to safely and effectively use the most suitable piece of equipment to achieve those ideas. This class will benefit glass makers from all areas of studio practice who have a basic knowledge of the cold shop, and it is recommended for all those who wish to learn diverse and interesting ways to finish their work.
No Class on July 24th.
This is an in-person class taking place on-site at UrbanGlass. Health and safety guidelines will be emailed to you upon registration.
The projects courses are designed for students who wish to explore specific projects or ideas in a process that they already have some experience with, but are still looking for guidance from an instructor. This is a perfect option if you have been out of the studio for the past year but are looking for an opportunity to have technical support while working towards a new idea. Bring a few sketches or ideas to brainstorm on the first class as a starting point. Each Projects course has more specific details about prerequisite skills and/or comfort level in their descriptions.
