Burning Bright: Introduction to Neon

April 15th - May 20th
Ashley Goodwyn |

Students in this introductory level class will learn to manipulate a glass tube and create their own, unique neon sign. In the first few classes, demonstrations on how to bend, control, and splice the glass will lead to supervised practice time. Once students have a good foundation of fundamental techniques, they will learn how to plan a design and draw out their ideas on neon pattern paper. In the latter half of the class, students will work on their own unique neon sign, whether planned on paper or freehand and playful. By the end of the class you will have a bent sign, which will be pumped with gas and that you can display with pride. Open to all levels.
