Building a Foundation

April 19th - May 24th
Annie Shepherd |

In just six weeks students will build the fundamental skills and movements needed to navigate the glass studio. Through various demonstrations, exercises, and drills, we will work together to build a basic foundation needed to create in hot glass. We will explore solid and blown forms, and also briefly touch on basic finishing skills in the cold shop. The course will conclude with students applying their new knowledge to their own personalized creative projects.

This course is best suited for those new to the material, but all are welcome.

This class has access to Student Hours for the semester, dedicated hours open to student use. Glass processes take practice, so utilize this free time in our studios to learn! For details email Kellie at kelliek@urbanglass.org.
