Borosilicate Basics

August 13th - August 17th
Amy Lemaire |

This class is an introduction to working and thinking with borosilicate glass. Through a mixture of technical exercises and creative projects, the goal of the course is for students to gain confidence in their ability and be able to create well-crafted objects, translating their ideas into glass successfully. We will work with both solid and hollow forms, experimenting with color application and surface treatments. This class is a great point of entry for those interested in gaining hand skills for flameworking. No experience necessary, all are welcome.
