(Free) Art Therapy: Rest & Relaxation with Creativity

June 24th, 4:00 pm – 5:30 pm
Jason Montalvo |

Art making can invite us to get out of our own heads, let go of control, and watch which shapes, lines, and colors emerge on the page. Art therapy utilizes the creative process to help people explore self-expression and, in doing so, find new ways to gain personal insight and enhance coping skills, regardless of age or artistic skill. In this class we will learn more about art therapy and then move on to a series of guided at-home art making activities, followed by a light discussion of individual experiences. The goal of this class is to help students feel more relaxed and grounded, with a greater appreciation and understanding of the benefits of art in your everyday life!

Please have simple art materials (i.e. crayons, markers, coloring pencils) and paper for this class.

This is a virtual class taking place online via Zoom. A Zoom link will be emailed to you upon registration with further instructions for accessing the class.
