After School Meltdown: Glassblowing for High Schoolers

This after school class will focus on building a foundation in working with hot glass for high schoolers. We’ll cover all the basics by making a series of solid and blown objects, and students will be encouraged to find their own unique voice in the material in the development of projects. This six week course is designed for the young creative looking to make work in a new and exciting medium.

Open to ages 14-18.

Mia Sartori is a Brooklyn based artist specializing in hot glass. After receiving her BFA from Bowling Green State University in Ohio Mia has continued to explore glass as a material in relationship to common place objects, always looking to utilize and experiment with glass in different ways.
