Stine Bidstrup's 2010 work Studies in Search of Order and Chaos IV-VII was part of her solo exhibition at the Glasmuseet Ebeltoft in 2011.
Some of the rising stars of European glass — Tillie Burden, Stine Bidstrup, Pernille Braun — work out of a unique shared workhop in the Islans Brygge area of Copenhagen. Since 2008, seven glass artists and designers have been part of the Luftkraft collective, where they share a large open studio with dedicated areas for different glass techniques. They are now looking for an additional artist to rent space for a monthly rent of 2,300 DKK (About $425 US) plus VAT tax.
The monthly rent includes the following:
- Personal work bench and limited storage space
- Access to glassblowing workshop and casting/fusing/slumping kilns
- Access to plaster workshop and cold workshop
- Use of communal tools
The costs of gas and electricity for warm and hot glass facilities is an additional charge, and each artist pays according to the amount he or she uses. For more information, you can emil: mail@luftkraftglasstudie.dk or visit the studio’s Website at www.luftkraftglasstudie.dk
