Call for Submissions: 2012 Glass Art Society Conference proposals due in one month

The Glass Pavilion at the Toledo Museum of Art, the 1962 birthplace of Studio Glass, will be an appropriate setting for the Glass Art Society's 2012 conference.

The 2011 Glass Art Society conference will take place next summer in Seattle, but planning for the 2012 conference is already well underway. In fact, the October 25th deadline for proposals is rapidly approaching. Appropriately set to take place at the Toledo Museum of Art, where Harvey Littleton held his seminal workshop that gave birth of the Studio Glass movement, the GAS board of directors is requesting proposals for lectures, demonstrations and panels relating to the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Studio Glass “Roots” in America.See the GAS Website for more details on how to submit your proposal. You don’t have to be a member of GAS to propose a lecture, demonstration, panel discussion, or something called a “lec-mo” (a combined lecture and demonstration). But you do need to propose your topic soon, and to include supporting documentation.

You can download a pdf file of the 2012 CALL FOR PRESENTATION PROPOSALS – INFORMATION SHEET, or a Microsoft Word .doc file of the 2012 PRESENTATION PROPOSAL – SUBMISSION FORM.

Applications can be made online, or in written form to the address below:
