Neon Display: Techniques and Handling

March 21st - March 22nd
Clif Eddens |

This course will describe and demonstrate various techniques employed to display and mount neon signage and artwork. Students will learn how to evaluate a neon structure (neon tube) in terms of how it may inform the display, or mounting method.

Different materials utilized to support the neon glass, as well as a demonstration of the tools involved, will be discussed. Owing to the somewhat fragile nature of the glass tube, information will be provided about how best to handle neon tubes during transportation and mounting for display.

Participants must bring their own neon creations to class.
