Hot Bod: Introduction to Solid Figure Sculpture

January 12th, 10:00 am – 3:00 pm
Dylan Karle |

This workshop will introduce students to the world of solid borosilicate glass figure sculpture. Relying on heat, gravity, and a trusty paring knife, students will learn how to gather, attach, stretch, and sculpt glass to render the human form in any position. We will use minimal tools, so students will focus on developing the ability to understand how heat moves into and within solid glass.
