This class will address all skill levels with structured exercises to advance personal techniques. Together we will work to abandon fear, achieve balance, and build the automatic skills needed in glass, mindfully. We will focus on gravity, turning, and understanding heat to simplify processes and excite new concepts for fun, functional or sculptural means.

Jason Bauer

Jason graduated with a BFA from Bowling Green State University in 2010. He was awarded the Pittsburgh Glass Center Tech apprentice position in 2011 and the Chrysler Museum of Art’s Studio Assistantship in 2012. During the years of 2012 - 2014 while living in Seattle, WA Jason worked with numerous professional glass makers, masters, designers, artisans and artists while he developed his comprehension of glass. In 2015 Jason settled into Brooklyn, NY to grow as he continued to work as a interdisciplinary artist.
