Experience Neon Day: October

October 5th, 10:00 am – 9:30 pm
Emily Craddock, Stephanie Lifshutz |

Make your very own neon light! In this private introductory lesson, students will learn all of the steps to transform hollow glass tubes into stunning illuminated neon, starting with the basics of glass tube bending using the heat of a torch, and learning how to create and follow patterns.

Students will observe as their piece is pumped – or filled with noble gas – and illuminated. Each lesson will conclude with a tutorial on how to wire, mount (indoors), and care for your new artwork before taking your masterpiece home.

Note: Students will have one piece pumped and completed as part of this class.
