H Schenck

H Schenck (Chicago) is an interdisciplinary artist who utilizes found and discarded materials to create works demonstrative of challenging societal values and a reclaimed identity. He currently works as an Instructional Support Specialist and is an ArTT fellow at Columbia College Chicago. Additionally, Schenck is the Exhibitions Manager for Comfort Station, a multidisciplinary nonprofit art space. Before moving to Chicago, Schenck worked as the Program Supervisor and Printshop Coordinator at Pilchuck Glass School and completed the EAIR Residency. H Schenck was a member of ARTBEEFART, an artist curatorial group that organized exhibitions for the space, BEEFHAUS. Schenck previously held the title Vice President and Contemporary Art Dealers Dallas Representative at 500X Gallery. He has been awarded funding by the Dallas Museum of Art and MAC Dallas for his partnered social project, Mud Campaign. His work has been exhibited nationally, including at the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth, and internationally at the 2nd Berlin Bercher Triennial in Berlin, Germany. Schenck earned an MFA in Intermedia at the University of Texas, Arlington and a BFA in Printmaking from Bradley University.
