Tribute exhibition honors Mark Ferguson (1959 - 2008)

A group exhibition at the Windsor Art Center in Windsor, Connecticut, opens on Saturday, July 11, from 5 – 7 p.m. in honor of the memory and influence of Mark Ferguson, who died in November 2008. Entitled “Flash Light,” the show includes the work of 16 artists who shared friendship and artistic exchange with Ferguson, a Mass Art (B.F.A.) and RiSD (M.F.A.) grad whose primary medium was cast glass.

The exhibition, curated by Hirokazu Fukawa, an artist and associate professor at University of Hartford, will include work by John Brekke, Tracy Silva Barbosa, David D’Orio, Jim Ferguson, Mark Ferguson, Justin Gaynor, Arlan Huang, Joey Huang, Jan Hoogerboom, Geoffrey Isles, P.M. Laura, Michiko Miyake, Gregory Nangle, Trinh Nguyen, Damaso Reyes, Eric Rubinstein, and Carol Yorke. The show will remain on view through August.
