Scavenger hunt will send contestants racing to New York City glass landmarks

On Saturday, June 5th, the Urbanites, the age-40-and-under group of supporters of UrbanGlass, will compete in a head-to-head race to find glass treasures scattered across Manhattan. From glass murals in subway stations, to fountains in landmark buildings, to stained glass windows, the all-day GLASS HUNT will mix education with spirited competition.

The event concludes at Heller Gallery on 14th Street with a post-hunt reception, where refreshments, conversation, and viewing of new works of contemporary glass design will occupy contestants as they await the final results. Winners will be announced and prizes awarded to the top three teams.

Though the event has been organized the the UrbanGlass Urbanites group, membership is not required to participate. Tickets are $15 for Urbanite members, $20 for the general public. Check-in and orientation will begin at 11:30 AM at UrbanGlass’s Brooklyn location.
