This November, the Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show will once again be live and in-person

For the first time since going virtual in 2020, the Philadelphia Museum of Art Contemporary Craft Show will resume as an in-person event for November 2022. The official list of fine contemporary artists selected to present at the 46th annual PMA craft show has been announced, boasting 195 craftspeople from across the country, carefully selected from over 500 applicants. The 2022 jury comprised gallery professionals, academics in the field, and Glass Quarterly editor Andrew Page.

Artists from over 30 states alongside a host of artists from the Philadelphia area will be in attendance, showcasing their works in 13 different categories of fine craft from ceramics to furniture to jewelry to fiber, wood, metal, glass, and more. This year’s craft show will feature an emerging artists category that gives a platform for up and coming artists across disciplines. There will also be a Meet & Greet portion of the show, allowing the audience and artists to engage in detailed and in depth dialogues about the work on display.

Presented by the Women’s Committee of the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the craft show is the single largest fundraising event for the museum, with over $14 million in funds raised in the show’s 45 year history. The proceeds support museum programs such as education and community outreach projects, art and craft acquisitions, and special exhibitions. Preceded by a Preview Party on November 10th, the 46th annual craft show will begin on Friday November 11th and close on Sunday, November 13th.
