Hot Off the Presses: GLASS # 119, Summer 2010

The cover of GLASS #119, Summer 2010, features photographs through Tiffany's Favrile glass which are the subject of John D'Agostino's work.

The new issue of GLASS: The UrbanGlass Art Quarterly hits newsstands and subscriber mailboxes today. On the cover: A photograph by John D’Agostino shot through a fragment of discarded Favrile glass rescued from the rubbish heap when the Tiffany factory was changing styles after the death of its founder, Louis Comfort Tiffany. These images of rescued fragments transform the glass into abstract tableaus overlayed with texture and intrigue.

Glass: The UrbanGlass Quarterly, a glossy art magazine published four times a year by UrbanGlass has provided a critical context to the most important artwork being done in the medium of glass for more than 40 years.
